Northern Lights Show

Our last fundraising event for the summer was at the Northern Lights Show where we manned our tombola stall, it was great to see our friends from Whitenights Yorkshire Blood Bikes and Revs N Relics, as you can see it was a nice sunny day and our treasury Andrew enjoyed an ice cream.

Wales Highschool Summer Carnival

On Saturday 16th July we attended Wales High School summer carnival and ran a tombola stall & spin the wheel and a great day was had by all, we also had a fun water pistol fight with the children from the stall next door who kindly donated some sensory items for our future events. We didn’t get the stall holders name and have been unable to get it from Wales high school so if anyone knows who it was please let us know.

We would also like to say a big thank you to Tesco at Dinnington & Maltby who have donated items to all the recent events we have attended!

MRVL’s fundraising during Queens Jubilee Bank Holiday

What a fantastic day on the Queen’s Jubilee bank holiday! Maltby and Rother Valley Lions Club were at two events: Maltby Town Councils Coronation Park Jubilee event with their Tombola stall and Spin-the-wheel game. And Ralph and Mick’s first gig at The Travellers in Brookhouse where they entertained Brookhouse Residents Association for their Jubilee event. Well done guys, great afternoon.

Thank you to all who contributed at both the Maltby and Brookhouse events, you were helping the Lions to help deserving causes in the community whilst having a fun time.

Don’t forget that we always need help from members of the local community. Could you become a local Lion? Would you like to be part of a very special group of people who put back into their local community? Plus have lots and lots of fun in the process!

If the answer is yes then what are you waiting for? We meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month – please call us on 07585 657563 or message us.
