MRVL’s fundraising during Queens Jubilee Bank Holiday
What a fantastic day on the Queen’s Jubilee bank holiday! Maltby and Rother Valley Lions Club were at two events: Maltby Town Councils Coronation Park Jubilee event with their Tombola stall and Spin-the-wheel game. And Ralph and Mick’s first gig at The Travellers in Brookhouse where they entertained Brookhouse Residents Association for their Jubilee event. Well done guys, great afternoon.
Thank you to all who contributed at both the Maltby and Brookhouse events, you were helping the Lions to help deserving causes in the community whilst having a fun time.
Don’t forget that we always need help from members of the local community. Could you become a local Lion? Would you like to be part of a very special group of people who put back into their local community? Plus have lots and lots of fun in the process!
If the answer is yes then what are you waiting for? We meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month – please call us on 07585 657563 or message us.

Maltby and Rother Valley Lions Club would like to give a heart warmed thank you to our Queen for her amazing 70 years of service and sacrifice.
To mark these celebrations MRVL’s will be attending the celebration event on Coronation Park on Friday 3rd June 12PM – 5PM, organised by Maltby Town Council. We will be there with a Tombola stall, our Message in a Bottle stand and our new and improved Wheel of Prizes. See you there!
All money raised at the event will go back into helping out local community!
A special extended bank holiday weekend will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone. On 6th February this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives will take place throughout the year, culminating in a four day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June. The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service. Find out more about the events taking place via the Queen’s website >
