Fun and Sports Day for the Disabled 2019

Lions Sports day for Disabled 2019Come and join Maltby and Rother Valley Lions once again for our fun and sports day for the Disabled on Saturday 10 August this year. This annual day of fun we hold at Sandall Park in Doncaster is an event not to be missed!

With FREE entry and many medals and trophies to be won the event also includes fully accessible changing facilities with hoist.

A lovely afternoon in honour of a great cause

Earl and Countess of Scarborough's Vintage Garden PartyMaltby Rother Valley Lions were delighted to support the Earl and Countess of Scarborough’s Vintage Garden Party in aid of Support Dogs for autism, epilepsy and disability, SRSB and Rotherham Sight and Sound. A lovely afternoon was had by all and it makes it even better to know that funds raised will go to helping folk in our local communities.

Maltby Lions make a donation to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice

Harry Finlayson had no idea what the Maltby and Rother Valley Lions Club got up to, until he enjoyed sitting in with them at one of their regular meetings.

“I never new what these people do for our local community until i was privileged to sit with them in their meeting, they put so much time & effort into helping others, big thank you to you all ??” said Harry.

Student of the year Award 2019, Aston Academy

Student of the year Award 2019, Aston Academy Lions Lynn and Andrew with Charlotte Proctor from Aston Academy (ACET) when she was presented with the Student of the Year Award.

Every child deserves a little magic

Circus Starr SheffieldMaltby and Rother Valley Lions are proud to support Circus Starr for a second year. We have enabled 20 children and carers to attend the circus in Sheffield and a good time was had by all!

Celebrating Easter and raising some money too in Dinnington

We had a great day at Tesco Dinnington for our Super Raffle on Friday. We had an Easter Egg raffle for a fabulous Thornton’s Easter Egg, a ‘Name the Rabbit’ raffle (it was named Daisy) and a raffle for a £40 meal voucher from Venus Restaurant in Dinnington. Thank you to all who bought tickets for the raffles enabling us to support the local community.
 
Also a big thank you to Dinnington Tesco and Venus Restaurant for your ongoing support for Maltby and Rother Valley Lions Club. It is very much appreciated. We will publish the full amount raised for all our Easter fund raising when all our other Easter egg raffles are collected in.
